Are "addthis" share buttons consider an outgoing link?

If I install the "addthis" share button to my webpages, will these buttons be considered an outgoing link from my website and lower my pagerank? And if this is true, are the benefits of the button worth installing on my site?
    Thank you for your response

The "Add This" share button can be viewed as an action that could decrease your page rank. Developing outgoing links is very convenient for other points of internet marketing beyond losing Page Rank. For example, allowing users to spread your articles or content is a win/win situation, especially if your articles are being shared on sites with a high quality of traffic. One goal of internet marketing is to create a high flow of traffic to your site, creating an opportunity to reach your web site's goals, whatever they may be. Personally, I would say that the benefits of having people spread your content on the web definitely outweighs the chance of losing page rank from outgoing links.
