If you are asking if advertising in a forum is good then the answer is yes, provided your site matches the theme of the forum you are advertising in. Advertising about golf clubs say in a tech forum will not help get you traffic though it increases your site's exposure. ARonald
As above, as long as they are targetted both to the subject matter but also if they share a similar customer base - even if you advertise your golf shop on a golf forum it isnt going to help you much if you are UK based but the majority of the forum users are based in China.
It is definitely beneficial to have a banner for a forum. It gives your forum uniquess, something to stand out and be remembered for so people return.
Sure, anywhere that you can legally advertise is going to work in your favor. You don't see a lot, if any, banners in forums, so make your forum site stand out from the rest and advertise with the banners. If things don't work out with them, just remove them. I'd give it a try. Good Luck
I think it is a good idea to include banners in other peoples forums if they are active forums like this one. You have to have a site on the same topic as the forum though and make the banner catchy. The more catchy it is, the better. The banner would be more for branding than anything, but after a while, when the forum visitors keep seeing it, they are more likely to click on it to find out more on what it's about.
