AutoCAD is the best. Not very hard and also not very easy. For me there's no other match for it.

    hi

I'm an architecture student so I can give you some advice. If you want a free and good architecture software use google sketchup. It's free and really user friendly. It generates 3d models really quickly and you can learn it in like an hour. However, it is lacking in drafting tools so if you wanna generate plans it is more tedious.

TurboCAD is a very good alternative with 2D and 3D support

    $40 - $200 depending on version - turbocad.com

Sketchup is pretty cool...but just for sketching
