I'm selling one of my recent projects - ArcadeTemplates.com.

It is COMPLETELY CUSTOM - all of the templates are 100% unique and have never been used, sold or distributed.

Why did I build it?

Over the years I have had a few arcades here and there, never made much money with them but I did notice that in every forum dedicated to online arcades, including the private forums for the script owners, there are always lots of people asking for unique templates. I also noticed that when someone surfaced with unique designs to sell they always sold very fast. A few quick searches showed me that there are very few sites offering arcade templates free or otherwise, and the few that I found were of horrible quality. Take a look at the PPC listings in the search results for keywords like "arcade templates", "phparcadescript" and other arcade-site related words - there's next to nothing there! There's also forums and script owners where you can get advertising dirt cheap - not to mention the easy search traffic that could be pulled with next to no competition. I also noticed a few affiliate programs for the arcade scripts that can be leveraged (Why not offer template discounts to people who buy the script license through my affiliate link? There's all sorts of earning possibilities here.

Sooo, I managed to procure ArcadeTemplates.com, hired a designer and coder to make some high quality custom templates and proceeded to build a site around the idea.

Why am I selling it?

Most of my sites are content, community or affiliate sites. I enjoy making those sites - but during the course of creating this one it's been very hard to motivate myself to work on it - as a result it has taken several months longer than it should have for me to get it ready to launch. I am selling it because I don't enjoy working on it, and I won't enjoy running it. If you enjoy sites like this then this is your lucky day - this is THE domain to have for it, already set up with one of the best carts on the market along with 10 beautiful, fully coded unique templates packaged and ready to go!

I made myself get the site ready for launch so I could sell it as ready-to-go as possible and get a few extra bucks because of it. Since the site has never been live, there is no traffic or income yet - as it rests now the site needs less than an hour's worth of work to launch, has a very strong product base and an excellent script behind it.

10 completely new and unique templates coded for PHPArcadeScript 3.0, tested in IE6, 7, and FireFox 2.0 which are packaged, loaded into the cart and ready to be sold. These templates were custom made and the owner gets full rights to all of them - none of them have ever been released before. These cost me $300 a piece to have designed, coded and tested.


Notes:

* All of the templates are coded and ready to go for PHPArcadeScript 3.0 only - If you want to support more scripts you will need to code or have them recoded for any others you wish to support.

* The templates are ready to be sold - packaged in ZIP's with the installation files, instructions, and PSD's (one PSD of the whole template, and another of just the header so the purchaser can easily change the site name and tagline).

* The templates are already loaded into the cart, but the cart will need some configuration - you will need to set up your payment methods (paypal, verisign, etc) along with any other things you want on the site. I didn't do any more than load the products into the cart and modify the cart's template because anything beyond that (newsletters, polls, policies, etc) is really up to whomever is going to be running it. I have also removed the files from their download dir so that people accessing the site through the forums can't grab the templates before the winner gets a chance to sell them.


Will I help the winner with the transition?

Yes, absolutely! I will help get the site moved to your server if needed, and I can answer questions about the templates but when it comes to operating and managing the site, if you're not paying me then it's all up to you - like I said earlier; I'm selling it because I don't find the work fun.

How much is it and how can I pay?

Payment should be issued through an escrow service which we both agree on, fees are to be paid by the purchaser.

not to be rude, but what is your reasoning on a $3000+ starting bid? There is no traffic, and no revenue. I understand you invested over $3000, but I do not see what worth it is?

Yeah they didn't work for me to begin with, I just kept inputting them and eventually the page loaded

 

I am a (small) businessman, and have devoted time and resources to getting this site ready to go - if I cannot at least exit the project and break even on the money invested then I will find and pay someone to run and update the site for me while I maintain ownership (which I would prefer not to do). It's all about the ROI - perform some market research and put together some expected sales numbers, then estimate the amount of time it would take you to recoup this investment.

Remember that you're also buying the opportunity to be first to market with a previously scarce product.

Ok guys, I'm removing the password protection - I just don't want wandering surfers trying to buy a template that they wont be able to download.
