To answer the original question, you can make money with AdSense on your arcade, but you are going to need major major traffic. YPN tends to pay several times what AdSense brings in, so it makes the earning a lot easier, but many don't have access to YPN.
Hey Thermit, Yeah I'm waiting for YPN approval as we speak.... I'll keep using Funklicks for traffic too.......aren't I about due for some bonus impressions?
Well, i got my 3 months old site linking to it. This arcade site is like an extra resource for my visitors, so i'm thinking about remove all the ads, give my visitors a better experience when visiting my sites (and beside, $2.05 / 2 weeks is not a sacrifice).
Maybe better placment will increase earnings, its not that bad for me as ur stats showing. Can we see your site, so we can exchange our views about it, and ad placement. Thanks and best of luck with your site.
my friend use chitika with their own arcade site. and he has got 100 - 175 clicks per day and earn 20 - 50$ usd. Chitika pay really good. also he is using adsense with chitika and earn daily about 15$ from adsense.
There are many games categories, in Chitika, i am new to Chitika, so which category should i select for my arcade site, better earnings ? 2nd can i have it with paypal as i dont think its contextual. Thanks alot.
your visitor interests are games and computer so you must put computer games, xbox games, ps2 games .... or lcd monitor, computers, desktops etc... Regards, Mustafa
Hi guys, I still think adsense is the king, as i tried chitika for one day only, and it worked really bad, for over 6k impressions and 1600 uniques, it get me only 6 clicks, which earned me $0.66 so bad ctr, i removed it imediatly, as adsense worked way too good then, chitika, only any good CPM advertesment can work better then adsense as far as i know, or maybe thats only for me but chitika was a bad experience for arcade site.
I change my ad placement yesturday and my CTR is now 10% with clicks averaging 0.07 which isn't too bad.
10 is too high, maybe the site would be low traffic site ? 0.07 is too good, how many ad units you have ? if have more then two thats good, i am averaging 0.04 from the last few days, and mostly it is below 3 normally.
What I know from some friends of mine is that the cost per click is really low, so they shouldn't earn much
I don't know if you are allowed to have it in the section labeled "latest Additions! " I thought that big G's TOS said it had to be called Sponsors or advertisers or some such. But don't take my word for it....maybe read it yourself at https://www.google.com/adsense/supp...=aso&subid=ww-ww-et-asui&medium=link&hl=en_US under Labeling Ads.
Just tried, chitika didnt worked for me, Give it a try and let us know, maybe i placed it wrong. Thanks
I tried Chitika and found it not too great either - I dont know why it would work, considering the people coming there don't have tons of funds and and looking for something free - as in your online games.
Just throwin' my 2 cents out there. I didn't read every reply to the thread, but I'm just trying to answer the dude's question. I average approximately $10/day (only recently), and it's a pretty good amount of work. I have good days, OK days and BAD days. Here's a photo of my earnings this week with YPN, not Adsense. I experimented with Adsense and, although my clicks went up, my earnings went WAY down. My advice is, if you want to run an arcade, don't expect too much and you won't be let down. It takes a LOT of work to make a few bucks a day. Right now, I'm using it to fund a different project. If you're looking to make a living, look elsewhere. If you're looking to fund something better, it's worth it. http://www.allfreeflashgames.com/images/earnings.jpg BTW: Obviously, the site hosting this image is the arcade in question. Good luck, but most of all, have fun with it! -boxer126 P.S. I tried CPM and it's not worth it. Places I get some decent traffic (link dumps) don't like pop-ups or pop-unders. I do better without them. If I can rank high enough in the search engines I may go back, but for now, no thanks.
