hi, I would like to know why there is a lot of arcade websites for sale ? is it because we won't be able to make money soon with these sites ? also I see that the ones that are making about xxxx$ per month are with ypn, but can we make almost the same money with adsense ? and is ypn available in Canada or only in the us ? thanks a lot
I would say there is a lot for sale, because there are tons of game site scripts out there it is so easy to put a site together. But once they are up people realize it's not that easy to make money with them so they sell them. Yes YPN is only for North America currently, but as far as my experience adsense made me more than YPN. Plus YPN has no link unit ads.
If you're willing to put in the time and effort. My site makes me an extra $150-$200/mo. If I could dedicate more time to it, I could make more. A big problem is, people build these arcade sites using a quick script (I admit, I did too), but they do not update them, they do not search for better content. Most of the arcades offer the same 300+ games. I hand picked every one of my games and videos and am just hitting 300+. But I add new ones whenever I get the chance and, in time, I'll have 1000+ games/videos that aren't just the "same old thing". And as for people selling tons of arcades. I don't know why people actually buy them. My total investment in January of $69.20 (That's script, hosting and domain) has netted me over $750 since. That's not that much, but it's $750 I didn't have 4 months ago. Anyway, yes it is possible. But it's not as easy as a lot of people think it is. And it is only getting harder when more and more junk arcades continue to offer the exact same games. -boxer126
Im one of those that desperately needs to update his game count. I got so many to go onto my main arcade site as well, but writing the custom text for each game, like I have been doing, is a long process. Hopefully ill get back into it soon. The good thing about an arcade, is other than adding a few games now and again, its very low maintenance, and represents a nice consistant small money earner. If your prepared to invest heavily into advertising, it "might" pay off even greater. But unless you know a bit about the best advertising methods, and strong advertising copy that works, I would steer clear of that option. The arcade market is completely saturated now. Im just concentrating on the long term, and gradualy building up my SE page count, and my SE position...its a 2 year project realistically to be where i want to be, but in the meantime im earning a few dollars.
hi, and I would like to know how much space do you need to host an arcade site with 300-400 games and for 1000 -1500 games thanks
