legend is right. mod_rewrite rules cannot just happen to be the same. everyone uses mod rewrite, but not everyone cna come up with the same set.

 

I advise everyone who think this is stolen to buy it. Only that way you will know. Untill then it would be better for your reputation to shut up and leave man alone to sell this.

 

It seems pretty obvious that it's a slightly modified warez version of GSS.

Now I would say that's much more than a cooincedence. If this is true, which Louis seems to have proven so (at least in my mind), it doesn't bode well for PinoyIto at all.

I do stand by my statement regarding throwing accusations around before proof though.

 

still css style doesnt't prove that script is not his work. he said he copied the design. We will se if he stands for himself !

 

He very well could have coded it himself.

It does look unlikely however.

Regardless. As Louis has pointed out, he is using the GSS style sheet. By definition, that is theft. A style sheet that he is profitting off of (in part at least), that he obviously did not create himself.

Regardless of how much of the backend is his or not, he at least store a portion - possibly the entire thing.

I did several checks on minor things on the script such as DIV names and such and they are exactly the same. The gamepack's descriptions are the same. And as mentioned before the mod-rewrite is exactly the same. Also you can tell by the features and addons they are exactly the same. Same search results output.

He seemed to remove admin panels in a unclean way and take away some stuff like other games from the template but the rest is clearly same backend.

PinoyIto, or rather EdPudol for those who remember. Stop hustlin people for pocket change.

 

I guess some owe me a little apology for attacking me when I uncovered what was really happening And a side note for greg, when i pointed this out, I didn't say his idea should be original (else we would be saying major search engines are copycats of each others). The point was the blind copy pasting he did (be it to the design or code), and yes I did support this by saying the design is the same and mentionning mod rewrite and missing modules.

 

This is clearly not 100% cutsom work. As statet my others in this thread there are just to many things that dont are right.

I have worked with the GGS script some time now, and it isent actually that hard to see that this site has copied it.

Still waiting for a BIG post from the seller. You (PinoyIto) have ALOT to explain.

Edit: And for everybody who dont know how GGS is build this is where the themes are placed. I find it really strange that the thread starter know this, when he havent seen the script...

If anyone is interested, I have seen this site advertised on Namepros and Dnforum, but under the name of edpudol.

I have read the messages in this thread. Did he violate copyright laws or is this script illegal?

 

just go to edpudol<dot>com and you will see all sorts of ripoffs of scripts being SOLD to people, I bought a database with a script earlier from this same poster which i later found out is a part of the package from edpudol site which is rip off of in itself from another one, so just a bunch of shady stuff going on.

 

Looks like this is something that should be looked further on.

As I said I never saw that script yet.... I only see their design so what is the problem if I patern it.

Are they the same as the GSS .htaccess? And if the design is big deal I can change the design and looks but still I can prove that I don't copy any internal functionality or script of that GSS

 

PinoyIto, you may have re-wrote the mod-rewrite rules but what do you have to say for this?

I do lots of script writing myself and I stood up for you because I gave you the benefit of doubt. Coz if you really wrote that script, then you deserve to be credited. Now you have lots to explain. If you really did copy some parts of the script, just own up and move on.

It's kind of disappointing to learn that you didn't script all of it on your own. Legend, it appears that the evidence thus far has been unfavorable to Pinoylta. Now it's thanks to YOU for bringing this up.
