A quick follow up on this thread:

I bought the site from kmayen and also paid the extra $20 for him to move the site to my server.

Getting information out of kmayen is a slow process to say the least. Had to prompt him to give me login details. Had to prompt him to send details of the download for the game pack that was part of the deal.

Absolutely no instruction or recommendations came with the site with his replies verging on the rude side and at the very least, abrupt.

After a week or two the site stopped working and I got a “Cannot make the connection" when trying to access the site. I assumed it to be a waste of time contacting kmayen at this point; given his reluctance to divulge anything at all I knew that I would be wasting my time. So I contacted PHP Arcade Script who was unable to help me, as “I will need the former owner of GonzoGames.com to confirm the transfer. Can you have them email us to confirm you are the new owner?” I forwarded that reply to kmayen who (making no comment about the site not working) said, “I sent him a message”.

I wrote again to PHP Arcade Script as I hadn’t got any reply from them and got this reply back "I have not received any communication via email from the previous owner of GonzoGames.com confirming the transfer.

Also, we sent a previous email to you regarding what the error message is referring to. What you will need to do is go into your hosting control panel and doublecheck all the database information is correct, including the database hostname, database name, database username and password. Also you need to make sure the database user has been added to the database.”

I hadn’t checked what they had said about the database as the site had been working! So I checked as they seemed pretty insistent and guess what? There WAS no database user added to the database! I added it and the site worked! How can it have disappeared?

I asked kmayen how this could have happened and even asked the question here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=178635 in case users often get deleted from databases. I would hate to insinuate foul play if there were none. I have had no reply as yet from kmayen.

I gave you everything I was supposed to as soon as you asked for it and contacted Scott from PHP arcade. If there is something that you have paid for and not received please contact me and I will take care of it. Everytime you email me I always answer you back right away. I'm not quite sure why you need to write in this thread , but I stand by all of my sales. Everyone who deals with me knows this.
