The numbers you guys are coming up with are fairly accurate if you only have flash games and if you only have google ads. Choose the right affiliate programs you can make a lot more. I'm running three different aff. programs which each all earn more than google is on my gaming site. An example of one is Azoogle's lovefreegames campaign which converts fairly well. You should also consider adding additional content on top of simple cookie cutter flash games. Don't kid yourself into thinking that you cannot earn much with a game site you definitely can, think outside the box. Heres a couple of marketing anecdotes to get your mind flowing: People have automatic learned responses to stimulti, conditioned through nature to make decision making easy when there is not time or some other reason they cannot reason through. There was a woman who owned an Indian jewelery store with some topaz jewelry that she couldn't sell for a while despite heavy store traffic, when she had to leave for a week, she left a note to sell them for half price. They were all sold out by the time she got back. Ironically the clerk had misread the note and marked all the jewelry at double price. Learned mental stereotype Expensive=good Cheap=bad makes people lazy A psychologist went to a Trancendental Meditation meeting with a logician. After the lecture the logician raised his hand and made strong arguments that undermined everything that the lecturers said. At the end of the day, you would expect less people to signup but they had their highest number of signups ever. Why? the principle of consistency and commitment, people that showed up believed that TM would help them with their problems so they were inclined to stick to their predetermined disposition. But why more signups than usual? when asked afterwards if they understood the arugment after the meeting most people seemed to completely understand the logician but several people said something like "if I go home I know I will think about this and never sign up". They don't want to think about it they would rather fall back on the automatic learned response of consistency and commitment. Worked well for cavemen while they were evolving and great for us marketers too. It depends really on how you optimize your ads, what sort of ads you use, how good the ad providers are, how much each of the ads pay, the quality of your traffic, the location of your traffic, the quality of your website, etc. To many factors come into this to determine how much your arcade will make.
It depends on your CTR. But good click throughs i can make it about 30,000 impressions = $100, but it really depends on your niche and your CTR.
Hi, i run arcade site too But in order to get 90k UV, you need to have the hottest game, but not those old school games Tht's why i remove all those low quality games for my game site. Now i have bout 200 UV, only around $0.1 earning /day
I love how people come in here and ask the broadest questions. there are too .many factors involved to make 1000 a day. most likely you won't. I'm not hating but being realistic.
wow this is really great thread for all arcade site webmaster. Do you know people who earn this amount 100usd/day running arcade website? As I experienced it's really hard to get more money on arcade site. it's very low cpc on adsense. Even i got 120- 250 visitor a day. I got only .10 - .30 a day. I think affiliate program much better.
I would look into ways to monetize your site outside of just adsense as the payout is really low on arcade type sites. Maybe think about having contests where the top scores for specific games win money.
From my experience, I'll say u need around 18k-20k uniques/day to make $100, and that's with adsense and cpm ads as well..
but sometime I can get $1++ for 15 clicks, then how about the addictinggames.com, shockwave.com, fizzy.com, heavygames.com, minijuegos.com and miniclips.com the minijuegos.com ranking is higher than miniclip.com
