Arbitrage

What exactly is this? I think I have an idea, but I'm still not quit sure. It involves marketing for affiliate programs through PPC ads and trying to make more money through your leads than you pay for advertising?

Also, what are the best affiliates to use with the arbitrage technique?

Thank you all for the help!!

I have seen some site also do this for adsense sites. They pay very little per click and use adsense keywords that pay alot more money. If they get more money than they pay for ads they are happy.

Affiliate sites look for something that pays atleast $5 or more. Some products pay alot of money but are hard to sell so you would loose money.

Yes, you can arbitrage Adsense and affiliate programs via PPC. Look for affiliate programs with a fairly high payout per lead or sale. Check how much they are currently paying to other affiliates - in CJ you can see this with their Network Earnings and EPC tools. Also be willing to do a lot of trial and error testing...good luck!

So I take it I have the general idea of arbitrage? I didn't even know what the word meant until today. I appreciate the help Arclight.

Does anyone know any resources on building landing pages or can anyone show me an example landing page?

I'm not posting any of mine...they're worth too much :) But a good landing page is pretty straightforward, it describes the product or service being offered in a clear and interesting way and offers numerous links to purchase it. Put those links in bold and place the prominently throughout the page. Don't trap users by forcing a click or disabling the back button or anything shady like that. But you can have the purchase links open in new windows, which might help improve conversions, especially if you're offering multiple products on the landing page and the visitor needs to do some comparison to decide between them.

I was just over in the Adsense forum reading about a guy who got banned and lost $25k in his Google acct. because he was using poor quality traffic to arbitrage Adsense. So it can be risky. Might be best to just focus on the affiliate side.

Basically, you buy cheap words on smaller networks on a low CPC and lead them to either a page on your site based only on that type of product with either affiliate, ad sense, or yahoo on it. If you know what you are doing, you can do well. If you do not, you can bomb fast.

Arbitrage is risky. For a start it can be hard to make your money convert into earnings. You need a site that gets a high CTR with good earnings per click, which means a rubbish site realistically.

When you buy cheap traffic, the cheaper it is the better for you, but all the cheaper it is the more likely to the site giving you the traffic will be using fraud techniques so that they can also earn more. This could mean that they could use robots aswell as giving you some real traffic. If this is the case then you will be producing fraudulent / bad impressions on your google ads with is against their TOS.

The best thing is to just make a site and get some good free traffic and do seo and then earn from it that way.
