So lately I've been hearing about Google closing a lot of Adsense accounts because they were partaking in arbitrage. I also hear that they are closing MFA sites. Now please correct me if I am wrong. An MFA site is like a one page site or scraper site that is crap, right? Soo... what is http://www.wowgamezone.com considered? Is this what they call a content site? And is it "a good business model?" Because I'd like to make a few sites like that but I want to make sure that what I do isn't going to get my account closed. Also... if arbitrage is bad, then how does a site like this get traffic to it? It's a small site that doesn't get updated, how would it be able to get noticed in the SERPs? Or... am I missing a big detail? Any help would be much appreciated. =]
I also want to know more about this too. What is google definition about MFA, how could a website called MFA. As far as I know, MFA is using content 10-30 articles, which most of them are duplicate content out there and have low quality, could be something like myipods.net
It is difficult to determine if a site is MFA, although I hear Google has introduced a anonymous tip line website to report sites you may feel are MFA. One piece of criteria may be: Site contains duplicate articles with atleast 5 adsense placed ads per page.
but max ads are 3! per apge..even if u put the code..the ads just wont come..they will be white blocks..
yeah, plus that site actually looks pretty sweet. I'll tell my brother about it...he diggs that kinda stuff. I meant 3, not 5. Sorry guys.
How google defines MFA lies in grey area; but if you have no genuine content in adsense pages, you may get troubled; just don't make duplicate content excessively
Thanks a lot for the help guys. It isn't actually my site. It is one that was recently sold here on Digital Point. I thought it looked like a pretty simple site and I was thinking of making a few like it. How about my second question. This site is small and it's not updated. How do you promote it and get good traffic to it? It doesn't look like it'd do well in the SERPs. Also... would these site really be able to make any decent money? Hmmm... this is kind of getting off the topic of Guidelines/Compliance now... All tips are appreciated. =]
MFA is what you yourself put into the expression. MFA is not an official name that has defined parameters. Do you feel that your sites are MFA? Then others will probably think so too. And specially someone that know the theme of the site. The site wowgamezone.com is not looking like a MFA site. But blend the background of the ad with the background of the page. And in addition the the ad block you have try to put an ad block at the bottom of the page too to see if you get better ctr.
its not about your site. its about your biz plan read more here http://digg.com/business_finance/Adsense_Accounts_getting_closed_how_to_protect_yourself
