Israel's Labour party leader has appointed Raleb Majadele as science and technology minister - making him the first Arab Muslim in Israel's cabinet. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6254691.stm I think this is a great step toward democracy in Middle East unlike the other things going on over there.
Okay... so to make sure I have this strait... there are Israli politicians screaming about a Muslim being appointed to the cabinet because he's not Jewish?
I don't know much about the man, or the particular reasons for his appointments. If he is a man knowledgeable in politics, science, and technology, with good moral fibre, and that is why he was appointed, then I agree. If he was appointed to have a token Muslim on the council... I'm not so sure.
