April Earnings Lowest Since October 2006

Just curious how others are doing now? April was my worst month since October 2006, and at that time my AdSense was only being promoted on a small scale.

So when I look at the big picture the $486.00 I earned in April was the lowest ever, based on my traffic and ad impressions. Anyone else with similar experiences?

It's ok, I've been doing about the same during the first 4 months of 2009.

I am experiencing the same number of impressions but significantly less clicks. I don't trust Google one bit. It's too much of a coincidence how this is all happening at the same time that their stats are totally FUBAR. We're not getting fully paid.

My CTR has gone down some but not nearly as bad as the amount per click. It is horrible. I think this all has a snow ball effect because my Adwords ads are performing very poorly now too.... I suspect click fraud is on the rise as "some" webmasters get desperate but I am too tired to track it. I just slashed my AdWords budget because it is like throwing money in the toilet.

I am experiencing exact same traffic, sometimes higher traffic, and really really lower earnings per click.

I think you should brace yourself for even lower earnings in the coming months. Highly possible.

If some sites that were making $1000 per day, can drop down to $10 per day, then you know something is not right...

You also might want to consider getting a proper job, if you don't already have one. :)

No doubt. I would never rely on AdSense to feed my family. For many that do this must be a very painful time. I suspect that Google will always take care of the very top AdSense publishers, and find ways to keep them happy.

Since everything with AdSense is so top secret I wonder if they do what many affiliates do. When times get tough they squeeze the bottom to feed the top. It would not surprise me if this happens but we will never know. :)

IMHO, your earnings dropped because of the world economical crisis.

I'm not buying the economic crisis as the reason earnings are down at all. It doesn't cost anything to click on ads for the visitor. Why would they stop clicking? Also, the economic crisis is not new - it is years old. The suspect reporting of clicks from Google has started just recently and simultaneously Google stats was totally whacked out. We're getting screwed - plain and simple.

Just to remind you, We are in a middle of world crisis, Wait to 2010-2011 or a bit later so the business's will enlarge their invested money over ads.

In other words, Your earnings will jump higher and who knows, Might be better then 2006 ;)

So the businesses affected by the crisis are conspiring to stop internet users from clicking on ads? It simply doesn't add up. Impressions are the same or more than ever, yet clicks are being reported in the last two weeks as down 20%-50%. That has nothing to do with the economy, just as Google's f***ed-up stats have nothing to do with the economy.

Just a slight decline but I couldn't blame adsense because I lost some competitive keyword ranking position.
