    same here.. shouldn't coupons increase cpc? Because advertisers will spend more and unless adsense decreases revanue share publishers should get higher cpc..

    It's probably just normal fluctuation. Maybe its a slow financial month for advertisers and they can't put as much money into their advertising campaigns this month. Hope everything gets back to normal for you. Good luck.

    I have been observing that from last few months we are getting very low income compare to previous year and so as the income of April, I think it depends on the bid advertiser put for the keyword is bein low too

    For US traffic it could be due to tax season.

    That's not the point. My sites are still on the same and some are even ranking better, CTR and visitors dropped badly this month.

    similarly, all other metrics have stayed pretty much consistent with previous months, yet april earnings are down by a noticeable percentage (~20%) - afaict it's not specifically april though, more a trend from the third week in march.

    Yes, you are right. Even popular sites like labnol traffic is down since panda update.. I feel google cpc is much lower these days.. so earnings are very very less.

    You are right, because Google have done one more Panda effect to all the websites so it will take time to recover and wipe out crappy websites.. give some time to recover it back..

    My greatest pageviews are on my coast redwood pages. Though I have mixed content with landscape advice and safe woods for pet birds.

    Either way, April took a huge nose-dive for unknown reasons. I thought it was by taking Google's suggestion to allow more banner ads. But I switched back and still the month was lame. Like a 40% hit, when it should have been up 20%.

    I have a guess ...

    The economy is really in turmoil, and businesses are having to pay taxes and don't have reserves for advertising.

    May has begun with the worst 5 day string in 3 years. It's amazingly bad.

    Traffic was down a little over April but highest adsense month to date, so can't really complain. May is looking the same.

    Ok...so I am not alone in this one then. I have taken a hit that put me back to daily income from 3 months ago!
    Feb 22 I had a day just like this! But the traffic was a lot less then!
    That is a serious step back!

    Pageviews = 35% increase
    Clicks = 40% increase
    CTR = 18% decrease
    CPC = 23% decrease

    Earnings = .11% decrease

    When May came in...I thought...Hey it can't get any worse...right? Ha ha ha yea...I am waiting to see just
    how deep the rabbit hole that once was my income will go!

    Ok yea April was my BEST adsence month also but that is not saying much I expected at least
    a 15% to 20% increase over last month, Ended up with a 4% increase. And may could leave
    me with a 15% to 20% decrease if it keeps going the way it is currently!

    I'm seeing the drop partly to reduced pageviews. It's not enough to explain all the loss though.

    My CTR dropped from like 2.50 last autumn to 1.13 yesterday. The CTR has been dropping like a brick every day the past four or five days.

    My site does not have duplicate pages, most of the ads are spread out pretty good, and the past 4 years my site traffic increased steadily year to year. Since last September is when Adsense revenue loss began a little, but my pageviews did not take much of a hit then.

    Lately, it's like the worst of everything is occuring all at once. It can't be just a coincidence.
