    I stopped caring about PR a Long time ago, You have to worry about on page SEO now. PR is just something used to confuse the masses into buying links.

    I've noticed that if you lose PR (visual toolbar), it will happen at any time...regardless of when the update occurs. I had a site that went from a PR3 to PR0 at the beginning of March. I had lost a lot of backlinks for this particular site.
