This may not sound much to some, but yes, I have been approved to spend this amount on immediate marketing & online advertising. Currently spending on AdWords (working great as always), affiliate programs (hot product, selling great!), links, etc. So here comes the question: you have this much to spend for online advertising, besides the above mentioned, where would you place it for a good return? PM if required or if you have a good offer - thanks!
It depends on type of site, but I would look for creating something not usual in that field. Also I would advertise on similar sites as mine.
type of site: VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Long Distance Calling over the Internet. Personally, I've been using the service for about 4 months now, no compaints about calling anybody unlimited in North America day or night for a flat rate. Some of our competitors are venturing out in to unrelated markets, backfired in some cases ... treading cautiously for the moment ... will check out your sigs
I do not know that industry, so it's just my guesses on that could help. I would suggest you going to various Immigrants and emmigrants communities and try to advertise it there, because those people usually call much to foreign coutnries./
I've seen a lot of keywords in that area that are pretty pricey in adsense because of companies like Vonage. I just built a new tech networking site but its so young I don't think advertising there would do any good. I do have a very large traffic site that Vonage did pretty well on but its a Kansas City Chiefs sports based site. I have some 728 X 90 banner space coming available after Febuary that will be discounted some for the offseason. Seems to me that something like that should do fairly well on most any type of site that gets a lot of traffic because most folks could be interested in saving money on that type of product and likely already have a hi-speed internet connection. If you want to have someone there write a tech article on the service I would be happy to put up a news page on http://www.computernetworkinghelp.com
Try to do some partnerships with sites in the related field. Offer some kind of sponsorship for some student sites / blogs where you can get it done cheaply.
It's a nice budget but it really depends what market you are in. Some markets 10K is like 100 bucks.. and to others it's way too much.
Absolutely ... one of our competitors is spending M$ on tv, radio, tele-sales, etc. My challenge is being able to justify and monitor the expense to see if it is actually producing results. Like the ideas presented and thanks for all the PMs - will be responding. The student idea is excellent, especially for the ones that are away from home. We do have some campus alumni associations signed up for our affiliate program and promoting our services on their websites. Some are making good money already. I was thinking about email marketing or buying ads within email campaigns, the legitimate ones!
