Hi please appraise my domain: www . 500wordsite . com Its only recently setup but already has much traffic and excellent marketing ability. 1. How much for the domain on its own? 2. How much for the full automated site? Thanks
Yes, please dont sell it now as you might not get the money you want, keep developing it and one day it will reach the right spot IT
Yeh I suppose so, I just don't have the time to fully promote it at the moment. If anyone wants to make me an offer let me know. Thanks.
Ok well if thats all its worth then I will keep it as each day im making more than that without doing anything to it. I just thought someone might have an idea to further it or have the time to fully promote it and be interested in buying, if not no worries. Thanks.
Ok it's been updated. Now has a 'busy' blog, also started selling the script that runs the site (only $30) and it is getting more visitors.
Just to update: Great sales so far, im roughly selling 2+ words and 2+ scripts, making around $120+ day and that is without much advertising. My blog is sending me loads of traffic and my current stats are: 1,394 since 1st august (4 days) I get an average of around 320+ visitors a day and that is growing with the help of a couple of my blogs. It seems script sales are rising too with 4 purchases last night, 2 pro versions and 2 standard.
Meclive - not to ruin the spirit of this post, but isn't your site a copy-cat of the original www.500words.com by Joel Comm? He sold all the words in just a few weeks back in July, but the site has been going downhill ever since - from Alexa 2,000 to Alexa 65,000. More specifically, I would be concerned that Joel's company might sue you for plagiarizing the software behind the site. Aside from price, how is your script different from the original LinkSizzler (www.linksizzler.com)? Please explain. Not trying to diminish your achievements, but I would like to have some clarity on the legal issues involved here, and I hope you prove me wrong w/regards to the script. Best.
Hi, 500wordsite was coded from scratch using the popular look of most the word cloud sites. Yes Joels site has been going downhill because his aim was to sell his keywords to his maketing list and had no long term influence, his software was not built with SEO in mind. I have not plagiarized any website, I took a novel idea, thought about it and made it better. You need to remember that there were sites doing this before Joels site came about. Our script is very different from linksizzler. For a start we have built our script around SEO techniques such as xfn tags, changing structure, rss feeds, site speed, etc... Not to mention our script is totally automated, with keyword payments being taken and automatically updating the database on successful receipt of funds. I am not going to go into detail on everything we have included in this script but needless to say it is different from linksizzler. Just to clarify that there are no legal issues involved as the script was personally coded by ourselves.
Well your opinion doesnt count for much then kartik. 500words.com was a copy of 1000wordpage.com just marketed further. 500wordsite has took the concept of both and made it better.
500words.com made it to the top 5 in alexa .. havnt checked the current rankings yet though. Such sites dont stay on top for long This guy is tryin to follow his steps by sellin a similar script for 30 $ . Best of luck. Seems like you shudve sold a couplea copies by now.
BTW, it never made to the top 5 (that would have been like MySpace or eBay). Rather, it was Top 3 Movers & Shakers. Still nice, but a huge difference from being #5 on Alexa.
Hi just to show you how links on the site can help your ranking: Do a search on google for "500words" You should see cfsmedia.co.uk on the first page. The site (cfsmedia) has nothing to do with 500words, I just added it to the tag '500words' to show you how a keyworded text link can help, even if it has nothing to do with your site.
