If you are willing to develop it then it is a good buy - if not then it's no good. She could be getting appraisals or she could just be hoping someone comes around looking to develop a site on that topic - it would be a quick $27 profit or whatever.

i get it. buy build or pass it up... The domain can be worth a lot by itself some of the times ,but don't count on it as much because it can be false hope. Now, if I build it --I may improve the quality of the domain later....am I on the right tracks now?

Yes you are. Domains can be worth a lot by itself for sure. Generally short domains, with a good keyword or two, in good niches that are memorable etc. will bring in a good amount. Also it depends on the buyer. For instance if someone reallllly wanted to develop a site on pro girl football or pro women's football etc. then this domain could go for more than just reg fee.

If you build a quality site and "brand" the domain then it's value rises.

Thanks Noose, I see the light. I will waist less time asking about domain values and start spending more time learning how to build domains I have.
