Hello people. webcorpgames(dot)com - PR3 Please give me a fair appraisal and provide your arguments, regardless positive or negative. Approached by someone who was interested in the domain but appraisal fee is rather high, I need to decide the potential of this domain. Most probably I would only go for manual professional appraisal if the value is at least 2xx - x,xxx Please help me decide. Thank you!
The name itself is worth about reg fee, with a PR3 maybe $30. If you have lots of traffic coming in than it could be worth more depending on how much traffic. I honestly wouldn't spend your money getting an appraisal, people around here usually get them dead on for free. Also keep in mind... your not paying us so we will be honest, even if it might hurt... if your paying someone for an appraisal... they want to make you smile so that you get more domains appraised by them.
i don't think it is worth much to get it appraised. I wanted to remind you that there is a scam where people try to get you to appraise a site of yours cause they are "interested in purchasing" you use their appraiser and they run with your money. Now it could be worth more if you are getting good traffic etc. But the domain name itself is nothing special in my eyes. Id say if you have a decent offer take it and run.
That is a good point usa666 brings up and that actually happened to me one time. A guy contacted me and said he wanted to buy a domina of mine and had a $50,000 budget set aside for it. But before he could proceed he needed to have it professionally appraised by one specific company that he dealt with for all his domain purchases. The cost of the appraisal was like $30 and he assured me once it was completed he would pay me the fair price they decided it was worth. I called his bluff and send him an email telling him to give me $49,970 and take the $30 he saved and get it appraised himself. If you don't want to be rude tell your potential buyer to go ahead and have it appraised and you will deduct the cost of the appraisal from your selling price.
Hey that sounds exactly like the person who contacted me. Said he was a cybersquatter, but sound rather "new" to me, keep on quoting people regarding what the norms in the domaining business are, never ever show his authority opinion.
