Unless that is a commen saying somewhere in the world, I'd say you'd be lucky to sell it for reg fee IMO

Sorry - have to agree. I have never heard of that before, and it actually took me a while to work out what it was supposed to say.

You might need to get rich from another venture :D

Thanks for the help, to be honest I felt it was worth the registration fee - if that.

I've made enough money from it, and had taken down the website content and put it on sedoparking (first time I had used it, then two days later I got an email...)

Someone said they were interested in buying my domain and asked a price...I said what would you be willing to offer? They said name a price - $5,000?$10,000? or more? So i said $3000 for the sake of it (thought it was a scam/wind up). Anyway they said they will get an appraisal and asked me to do the same. They haven't got back to me yet, not suprised really. They asked me if I would accept Paypal or another method (can't remember the name now).

Does it sound like a scam?

Sounds like it could possibly be an appraisal scammer that wants you to get it appraised from his own company or one he's affiliated with.

Is the guy claiming that "domains are not his main business & they develop databases or websites" and wants you to reply with the price in the title of your reply? Also claims to be a PHD or CEO when he signs the end of the email?

There is no way that any person would pay a couple of grand for this name so I think it's probably a scam. I got one of these emails before for a domain I had listed on Sedo, but just ignored it.

I think the domain means 'No String Lucy' - Lucy without a string :)

You have definitely been targeted by an appraisal scammer.
Take that out of his way of saying "name a price - $5,000?$10,000? or more?". The last figure sounds so unjustified that you can easily bin his emal. He will surely have not hardfeelings about it as it's probably being sent to hundreds daily.

God a couple of them emails of that kind, too :)

Lol oh okay, thank you for telling me, I understand now.
He did pass me on to a forum where appraisals are done, I think they wanted me to get an appraisal from there, or using a company he recommends.

I always had a feeling that it was too good to be true :( was nice at first though, reading that he was interested in buying the domain

    Thanks for the help
