With a blog for example, would you guys recommend applying for all the Affiliate Networks you would like to work with first? Or do you wait until you have content and a heavy traffic flow. Are there Networks I shouldn't even bother applying to unless I have heavy traffic or loads of content?
Hi, As long as you have a website you can apply to any network. Once you know which programs you want to join, you can build content to support their key marketing messages. It might be best to join one or two networks first and get your site up and running properly before joining lots of networks. This will help you iron out any issues before you put a huge amount of time and effort into adding lots of links from numerous networks. Hope this helps. Sinead
You need to at least get the first site up with content. You can then apply to affiliate networks with the one site. I have found that its easier to get approved for an offer if you already have the site relevant to the offer already up and running. But there are exceptions to that as I have been approved for several offers before I created the content.
Your site needs to be pretty spiffy if you want to be accepted into my affiliate network. If I come to your site and it is "under construction" or looks like you built it yourself with simple HTML you found on the internet, you are probably going to be rejected immediately. Take time in the beginning to get things squared away. Don't rush it, don't be trigger happy... It will all cost you in the long run.
I am in the process of launching one of several landing pages and did not have any affiliate accounts. I applied for one and my application was pending for a couple days. I just emailed their affiliate group and they told me because I had taken the time to contact them, they approved my app status and would like to see the final product. So I guess not in all instances do you need a website already made.
I was approved my commission junction with a really simple blogspot blog (in my signature) that had only 10 posts at the time. It can be really hard to get ideas if you don't know the details about what it is you are going to be promoting. So make a simple blog, join commission junction, get some ideas, then make a few real websites.
Some affiliate networks easily accept websites with small content. So it is good to join a single affiliate network in the earlier stages of your site for experiment.
It is better to join network when your site is completed. At start you can join bidvertiser, they approve application automatically and you can post links on your site instantly. Later after experiments you may join big networks like google, etc. GCS
It depends on the affiliate networks, some of them approve you only after they review your site, others don't ask for website and even give you free website templates. Some of them are MoreNiche, WorldNiche, CashBurners.
