Applied To Amazon Today -- How Hard Is It To Get Approved?

    Hello,

I applied to become an Amazon affiliate today, submitted the URL of one of my websites within the application. I received the e-mail from them acknowledging my application and giving me access to the affiliate section, but saying that I will receive a second e-mail officially welcoming me to the program once they have reviewed my site.

How difficult is it to get approved by Amazon? In other words, does your site have to have a certain Alexa rating or something along those lines? I'd like to go ahead and get started on a new site that I plan to use to promote the Amazon products that I'm targeting, but didn't know if I should since I haven't received the official approval.

I guess what I'm asking is -- do they only approve super affilates with massive content sites? I know some affiliate programs are very strict on their standards. My sites are more on the line of mini sites.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had any problem getting approved (and I'm with the US, UK, & Canadian sites.) They didn't seem concerned with those kind of details.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll go ahead and work on my site in anticipation that everything will work out. Thanks again.
