Applications for Ruby on Rails?

    So far I'm aware that Ruby on Rails can be used for web applications and mobile applications. I was just wondering what else it is capable of.

    Ruby On Rails is a framework for web applications, so you cannot really use it for anything else that's not a website. Well, maybe you can, but that's not what it was made for.
