I am not here to fight you, like I said you have your own opinion and I have my own, I have nothing against people that use macs. There are a lot of PC Games that are compatible with Mac OS X, games are the things that always stress computers to the max. You say that you need less processing power on a Mac then on Windows then why are all the games I have seen need equal or more power on Mac OS X then on Windows, even in the Vista age the requirements have always been less on PC then on Macs, same game higher requirements in Mac OS X. Even Blizzard a company that has worked with macs even before they were popular, they still haven't made a game that uses less power on a mac, they came close with Starcraft 2 but the mac version required more memory.
Don't know. My only guess would be that it might depend on the GPU available on Windows machines. Since most Windows users treat their computers as an XBox, I'd bet the better graphics cards or drivers are available on Windows. On Unix, and Mac OSX is Unix, we have trouble finding decent graphics cards cause all the GPU vendors only concentrate on Windows leaving us in the dark. Nvidia is the best for giving us what we need but almost the only one.
True but I have seen some games require more powerful cards on Mac, anyhow this would be the last post in the topic for me, what you failed to mention for Mac is one piece of software not available on pc... Final Cut Pro nothing is available on PC to compare to this, hopefully that would change in a couple of years, everything else can be done equally if not better on a PC IMO, I mean there has to be a reason the market share for windows is still like 93% even with the value of Apple's stock so sky high. What I would really be interested in knowing is how many people have installed windows on Apple Computers after they changed over to the same architecture. Most of Apple's profits are made on hardware anyway, considering thing can be so cheaply made in china.
Image/video/film editing and graphics have been a staple on Unix and Mac computers since computers were around. Hollywood gobbles them up. I know. I was there working for SGI and Pixar (back when Pixar made hardware). See US Justice Department vs Microsoft on Wikipedia. Windows is a desktop OS. Apple makes products that not only work on the desktop but also mobile. Mobile is where everything is going and Microsoft has no significant presence there. I read people do that when there's some software they own that only runs on Windows. Otherwise, there is no need to do so. When I first got into Linux, I dual booted Windows cause I felt there would be a need. There was never a need and I uninstalled Windows a couple weeks later. I've not used Windows in eight years.
Yes, it is really so. I've heard that Apple has just crossed another milestone, Apple stocks went crazy during trading hours today and reached at $494. Now Apple’s Market Cap is $461 billion which is greater than its rivals both Google and Microsoft combined.
ya they are afraid of apple. Steve Jobs had done great in his life. Apple deserve this place. Atleast its ahead till new technology comes..
