Beautiful piece of kit as it may be, I'm sure there are many out there who share the same frustrations with their iPhone. What with blackbox development restrictions and Apple's anti open policy (leading many to hacking to access the device's full potential), network restrictions in a number of countries (AT&T US, O2 in the UK), and now with the rejection of Google's Voice application, it's no wonder that many are deciding to bin their uberphone and seek something a little more customer focus. Don't forget all the other rip off price changes, and fees Apple have imposed on us loyal customers. I haven't mentioned other conflict of interests leading to Google Inc. chief executive Eric Schmidt resigning from Apple Inc.’s board. Google's Android platform seems tempting and will be interesting to see their new OS. Just have a look at Google and HTC's new Hero on Android. If it has decent apps, such as an ebook reader, then I'll seriously consider jumping ship. What do you guys think? Anyone own an Android or Windows Mobile or Palm Pre? How do they compare to the iPhone?
Hee hee. Also got a HTC Diamond Touch 2. Slick GUI, but Windows underneath the hood really sucks. Before I shell out on a iPhone 3GS, will test drive the new HTC Hero. Android looks like a slick alternative.
