The company told The Wall Street Journal in a statement that it is aware of an apparent iMessage glitch in which some users' messages go unsent, unreceived or sent as a text. Good to see they are onto it, imessage is normally so reliable and it's been a bit of a nightmare having to double check that messages have been "delivered".
ours are old iPhone4 - never had a problem before iOS7 messaging is core functionality of a phone since, like, forever. They should've got it right.
After all, AppleInsider reported on Monday that a simple procedure has successfully eliminated the bug for many users: Disable iMessage in Settings -> Messages, Reset the iPhone's Network Settings under Settings -> General -> Reset Reenable iMessage. They says fix is in the works. I hope they will roll out the patch.
My partner had a hell of a job updating her iPhone 4 to the new OS. Ran really slowly until she cleared it all out - I think she regrets updating as she hates the new look.
I just made the mistake of applying the 7.0.2 patch to my phone. It failed and I had to do a full reset and restore. I'm glad I hadn't needed to use it over that time because it took forever!
