Apple's Lisa 1 was put up for sale on eBay which was surprisingly sold for $15,000 after 11 bids, can you guys believe that.. I seriously want their names, like who are these people.
Anyone got a shovel? I'm glad that collectors are buying them. I remember looking for a Lisa a few years ago, and they were still nearly affordable. They're well out of my price range now though. I've got a very tiny collection of vintage computers (Atari, Commodore, Sinclair), which only cost about $100 each. Still kicking myself for giving away my Mac SE many many years ago. My mum used to work in the computer department at a university, at some stage in the early 90s they moved the computer lab and junked all the lovely old Apples, Commodores and Acorns that had been in "storage".
Mac SEs are currently selling for anywhere between $100-500. There's nothing special about them. I just wish I still had MY Mac
That just shows that we just don't throw old or out modeled gadgets. These items may be worth a fortune in twenty years or more.
in this day and age if buy something and sell its in twenty years it will be cheaper since there is so many maufactured in there millions in the past they were made in 100's
