Has anyone used iOS 5 for their iphone yet? I hactivated it onto mine but it was still pretty locked up since it can't talk to iTunes. Has anyone tried it officially activated, and if you have how was/is it?

I fear to lose all my content with the upgrade, I'm still at 4.1

Haven't tried it, mainly because I sold it for an Atrix 4g. I so regret doing that because iOS 5 looks really sweet now with its notification system and pull down status bar. Though I have to say that Apple is getting it's new ideas from the jailbreak community and Android...

I wasnt sure about that either, but I found that the tempation was to great. I used iTunes to back up all my settings and what not and then used AptBackup to save all my Cydia apps. when I restored and re-jailbroke I just readded my sources and restored using AptBackup and I was back up and running in no time.

Apples has been doing that forever, I've found that if there is a really good tweak that was introduced for jailbreakers it will most likely be implemented in a later version in some way shape or form. My best example of that is MobileNotifier which from what I can see is the same as the notification system. Although Apple kinda merged a few apps on this one with the ability for widgets. Another one is that RichText tweak that is also being brought into iOS 5
