    Hi
Someone on a completely different forum has just shouted at me (!!!) that my site look absolutely terrible in Internet Exporer, that the side bar on the far right with my picture and some text appears at the bottom of the content (the "about me" widget)and everything is just generally 'screwed up'. I'm quite upset at the tone! Now there was a difference in the fonts on the two posts made so far due to copying and pasting one from Word - I've now corrected this. However I am also using Internet Explorer like this person was - the most up to date version and I can't see any of what this person is talking about.

I certainly need to know if there is a problem but I'd prefer not being rudely shouted at - working in customer services I have enough of that at work - lol.

I'd be hugely grateful if you could take a look at my site http://www.inlovewithlisbon.com and let me know which browser you are using and if you can see these same problems. I'm not selling anything at all!

I've done a print screen of what I can see

    Thanks

    Hey, LilyUK.
I'm working in Customer Care as well, and I completely know the feeling. Don't worry, you know it's nothing personal and it will go away :D

However, regarding your blog, it shows up fine in Firefox 2.0.0.4 under Windows XP, and shows the same design under Internet Explorer 7.
I asked a friend that uses IE6.01/Windows XP and the blog displays well too. Tried the last version of Opera and it seems fine there too

I had the same problem with my blogs in the past. Some users that were using Internet Explorer 5.5 were seeing my blog very very scrambled, and that's because that version had some weird interpretations of the CSS code.

I wouldn't worry about it since the amount of IE 5,5 users is dropping fast. Your shouting "friend" might be one of them too. If you are still interested, you may ask him to send a screenshot, but I can guarantee you that your blog will show nice to the majority of people visiting it.

    Hope this helps, :)

Hi Etherfast - fellow customer care person eh? *waves hello*

Thanks so much for your response. It's been absolutely years since I've been properly 'flamed' in a forum. I not such a delicate little flower and always welcome constructive criticism but I think I was just so surprised I let it get to me *laughs*

Anyway - many thanks for putting my mind at rest!

And no I think I shall decline to use that foum again - I'm thinking that's why it doesn't seem to be hugely subscribed to!

    Glad I could help :)
As a smaller note, I think some Unix-based browser was affected by that as well, but that's even less relevant than IE.

Cheers. If you need anything else, let me know.
    Thanks for calling :D

There's a huge difference in giving constructive feedback and getting flamed by a complete twat! Sounds like you've met the twat. :(

Your blog looks totally fine at my end using IE7 and Firefox 2.0.04

Probably time giving up membership on that forum and making more posts on here. :)

FYI - I did customer support too until my soul could take no more.

    Hi all
Thanks for your feedback - that's great.
Cormac - lol - I completely agree! I won't be going back there! As for customer services, how I got into that I don't know - said I'd never work on the phone again! Ah well...I count myself very lucky that the people I work with are very cool and supportive - we have a good laugh. We need that after we've been screamed at! All things considered I have it a lot better than some people in this line of work. Still - onward and upward with websites and moving towards self-employment :)
