api site: lag?

Over the last two months my site has gone from several hundred pages listed in google using site:url (about half of them supplemental), to several thousand pages listed, none supplemental.

But my weight and the backlink tracker 'pages in url' has remained the same.

Is there a major lag in what the api reports, or is something else going on?

    Thanks, Chris

Oh, finally, just checked the back link tracker and my 'pages in url' went from 400 some to 2000 some.

Yippee! Ran over to the validator and ran it.......... and my wieght stayed the same.

hmmmm, and I was so excited thinking my wieght would increase with the number of pages indexed.

PR 3 site, does 40,499 sound like the cap? Maybe I was already as high as I could go.

(are caps secret? I can edit this post if so)

Sounds like the cap. PR4 cap is 54,000 so a PR3 cap around there sounds feasible.

My 'pages in url' is 200 over the last two months, but in google using site:url - 17000-20000 pages depends on datacenter

    I`m really confused.

The API reports different results then the site:url command does. It can be quite frustrating I agree.

I know it, but I don't think that results must be too different.
