Not sure what I'm missing, but is there a direct link to the API page to request a license.

I've gone to http://www.google.com/apis/ , created an account, but the license was never emailed to me.

    Thank you

I am having the same problem. According to Google, if you "lose" your API key, you simply click on "create an account" and Google will recognize you as an existing account and will re-send your key. Well, it isn't working. Any ideas?:(

Whoa--I just got it to work. I had to go to the google api page, re-create my account (with the name and pw I had already created), then when I submitted it, I got a message that an API key had been sent to my email address. So, essentially, I had to create the same account twice in order to get the api key. Hope it works for you.
