I have been gladly paying my bid management software company £300/month. Now from Oct 1 Google is going to charge $0.25 per 1000 actions (whatever they are, they are not explained in English on the Google API section of the site) and according to Jun 2006 for example I used 6000000 API tokens = from Oct 1 £1250.00 er..why do I have to bear this charge which is HUGE compared to the mthly fee I pay for the bid management and is there anyway around it? No one at Google Adwords Europe can help, they always refer you to some blog and they can't say how much it will cost, just ask you to register your cc card details with a MAX budget. I might as well write them a blank cheque. Is this the sound of the death knell for bid mgmt companies? MJ.
pls no more PM's about offering to do 'work' for me. this query is about automated software for ranking and strategies, not setting up keywords and adgroups... i may be getting my knickers in a twist over this, but if 1 action = 1 token, then this +£1000 charge a month seems unavoidable based on 6-8 million tokens used per month.
That is a lot of token use, seems a bit high, what are you doing with that? Are you sure its streamlined to operate using the least tokens possible?
