I did some checking using Google API and found out that the site: alone returns 0 results. If it is used with a word that appears on all pages the results are as usual. So if I check "site:www.example.com home" I get the regular results but query for "site:www.example.com" returns 0 (without quotes of course). I don't know if it is a measure by Google to disturb the functionality of the network or just a glitch, but it sure would be nice if Shawn found a way to check the pages using some kind of an additional word. site: with a -nonsenseword doesn't work either. I don;t have an idea what query could be used to cater to all sites, but something has to be done, because soon the entire forum will be filled with "My weight is 0" topics and we will all loose on that.
In that case your reply was fast. Can you tell me what query you're using now to check the indexed pages?
Shawn, I would also like to know how you fixed this. The script I use to check my own sites now returns 0 pages for all sites every time I use it.
Would be interested in that too, since if I use site:www.example.com with a different combination of words I always get different results with differences from 80 to 150 using words that appear in everypage of my websites...
Used to... No longer working, gives me 3, 2, 0... This from results that used to be 150, 90, 20... This has to be some sort of API glitch
