Are you thinking of running apache on windows? If you don't need ASP or .NET and its a choice from apache for linux or IIS for windows I'd take linux hands down. However if its a choice of apache or IIS on windows, I don't have a clue to be honest. Mark
Its Linux apache vs. Windows IIS and which is faster to setup accounts for people for hosting solutions without using cPanel.
lol, i got into a fight with my co-worker over IIS and apache and he said IIS is easier to do mutliple domains with but i told him Apache for linux and yeah.
I actually have my MCSE and managed IIS servers for about 4 years. My 4 personal servers are all linux/apache if that tells you anything.
It seems people who say things like that about IIS don't have a good grip on what the command line is all about.
