Apache problem with instal. not runing

Hi everybody I got problem with install Apache.
I downloadid: apache_2.2.14-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8k.msi
posibly its not the right one...?
or pliz post me link were can i download apache 2.2.11 or 14 .exe file

and run and here is what he says:

Hi!

There another program which use port 80 on your machine. You need to find out which program is... For me was a Skype blocked port 80...
Or you can try to edit apache configuration file and try to change port number to 8080.

yeah now I can instal all is ok but server is nut on have red light and I have service status: nothing in there hmmm I was watching youtube and he had after instal running and all good... hmmm what should I do next intresting?

If is skype the problem then you can disable port 80 usage in skype.

First try run manually Apache server with httpd.exe file. If after then you can see your test page then you need to install windows service manually with httpd.exe -k install command.

Ok I got everything runing. but wen I pres on admin @ apache it wont make any reaction... any Idea what is wrong? and www://localhost dont work hmmm....

Can you be more specific what is a problem? In which program or file you have a problem? Where you try press admin?

It's never will be work that's way. Before :// you need give the protocol type (example: ftp, http, irc). In your case if you want access your Apache web server you need to give http.

The correct address should be http://localhost.

I don't know why not working Admin button for you. I checked in my machine. When I pressed admin button then load http://localhost/xammp page in web browser. Maybe there is bug in control panel program... Did you try press admin button for mysql?

yeah I reinstal all and still the same thing. I got one book from bibioletic calld "PhP step by step" and its (2002) and there they use program calld "OmniHTTPd Adminstrator" and they say that in year 2004 they will stop working wile its to old programm and ppl need to run servers on newer programs (and it was fee) i know how to work with that program but apach ehhh its to hard for me I guess
