Apache: Limit Traffic? (e.g. 10 GB/month)

just wondering if apache (or a mod for it) has a built in trafficlimit function, e.g. 10 GB/month? limiting the send speed to e.g. 100 KB/s would be also nice, but limiting the monthly traffic is more important.
    thanks.

Why would you want to limit your monthly traffic?

well, i got a windows vserver which - of course - doesn't has this function.
it has much traffic inclusive, so it's a nice thing for traffic intensive things. however traffic intensive things also can cause more traffic than planned and additional traffic is costly, so i'd like to avoid this.

Can you pass some of your extra traffic to me? I will even pay for it. :)

hello sunday, i've also heard about this, but unfortunately mod_bandwidth only seems to limit the KB/s not the total traffic per month. please correct me if i' wrong and of course i can still need this, but currently x GB/month limit is mroe important, thanks.

I don't know if it's possible, seems unlikely. Try googling 'quota' or variations, maybe that'll help.

However I'd like to suggest you're attacking the wrong problem. If you've got too much traffic and are making money on it, then you need to move somewhere where your traffic isn't limited.

If you've got too much traffic and can't move hosts because you're not making enough from the site then I suggest you seriously look at monetizing the site somehow. You should be able to pay at least for your bandwidth with some left over from just about any site.
