I know nothing about apache so I am asking for some info.

I have a server and it this is what I am getting: httpd failed @ Thu May 15 07:53:57 2008. A restart was attempted automatically.

this is happening from every 20 minutes to 40 min. The Datacenter said Due to more Semaphore Arrays the Apache couldn't create a new semaphore.

they put in a script to monitor the semaphores and kill them, I added a Gig of Ram last night because they recommened it, and httpd is still crashing?

Like I said I know nothing about Apache, but I want to fix this if possible.

    Thanks
    Jay

Keep asking the datacenter again and again.

Almost anything could be stopping apache, it is very hard to tell without access to the server. Apache not being able to create a new semaphore (like a variable) means there isn't enought memory, but adding another gig should have sorted that.

    Do you have apache logs?
