    Hallo,
I don't know how to solve this.

The problem: my blog is wordpress based (2.2) and has several plugins installed. WP-Cache is installed. I use it like a CMS (many pages: post + pages = about 1000) The blog has about 9/10.000 unique/day and 80/120 users online. The problem is the high apache usage/php request.

    What to check?
Do you think is a structural problem or is there a way to know if plugins are responsable?
Which could be the cost for a php/apache expert?
    Thanks!

Do you already have a decent dedicated server to run this monster? ;)

    eh eh
I had a dedicated but when the problem occurs all the dedicated has problem (one/two time a day I had to restart apache through SSH). In the dedicated there is a vbulletin forum whith more than 200/300 users online.
I moved the blog into a shared hosting, and both (forum on dedicated and blog) worked very well.
Now I'd like to understand if I could to optimize the blog on the shared host (hostgator) or I need to return on dedicated (I did not study as a systemist :D )

If your blog receives enough traffic, then buy it its own dedicated server. The problem is it that its running on the same server as your big vBulletin forums. That's the problem right there.
