Very simple, one page site. http://helpmebuyacar.org/ The concept is rather odd though, so I'm not sure what keywords to add, or even add a meta description. Can anyone give me some insight on this? Thanks
I really like this idea. Great site, hope it takes off for you, because it looks like you really need a car, haha. Onpage looks pretty good with the header tags for keywords at the start. You only have a couple headers though, perhaps use a few more? I'd suggest bolding/italicizing keywords and/or KW phrases. The little picture of you has bad alt text ("help me"). Add some of your keywords in it. For your meta description, just describe your site in plain english, but start it off with your keywords. I think you really need to work on Offpage though. I see you only have about 10 backlinks to your site though so I'd suggest building on that. The YouTube video with the URL is a good touch. I can really see this site hitting one of those Digg like places. If you can figure out how to add a twist to create more buzz, it would be a lot more effect.
Now where would I get backlinks for this niche? It's pretty damn targetted so I am not sure who to ask for some links. Also changed the alt tags. Thanks for the tips
Submit your site to link directories. You can start at Directory Critic. You may also want to create an article and submit them to article directories.
Another good way to promote the site is to create a press release and submit it to the prweb (and any other press release sites you can find.) The concept of your site is perfect for a press release.
a great idea and i hope it takes off for you. If you would please excuse me to go off-topic, then you could add a lot more social bookmarking icons to get the idea to spread fast. Maybe cramming too many icons might make it look to be done on purpose. Secondly for a small boost you could try submitting your links to popular LinkDumps such as i-am-bored or others like 13gb. There are many on the net. All of these have recommend scripts so its possible the emails might do the trick. All the best.
hahaha!!! very good idea! although i've seen someone do this before, i just can't remember his site. he doesn't want a car, said he was just too lazy to work so he asks for donations. i bet you could write a pretty good and linkable article about your site, if you would put your heart into it. do that and post it somewhere on your site then submit to digg, reddit, and the likes. goodluck cheers

You have a good quality of content in your site. Just do link building by submitting your site's URL, title, and description in directories for backlinks.
Not many sites get the kind of 'wow, I like your idea' as yours has. Make the most of it, by piggy backing off other well known sites that will offer you good traffic. Put some kind of lame advert on eBay for example. Not the obvious selling a link mind you - I am thinking more like selling a CD of the video you have hosted on you-tube. The idea NOT making a profit from the eBay add - just that you get a shedload of visitors and publicity because of it. It happens on eBay a lot, you just need to word your ad good, and hope it catches the imagination!
