Anybody else see this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7475279.stm This could really shake things up and open up a whole new realm of domains. What does anybody think? I can see the pro's and con's and can't really decide which side of the fence I am on.
people got used to .com/org/net/info and country codes if you ask a regular msn/email/inet user they dont even know what .mobi and .biz is. Its just for the cybersquatters since the main majority of the internet users dont give a damn
it could be a good business opportunity, though. Imagine if you owned .sale or .buy and were able to sell domains exclusively with those extensions as a domain registrar.
Yeah, that's what's gonna happen, and also I reckon the ridiculously high prices normally paid for relatively nice domains are gonna go through the floor.
tm holder will have a harder time securing their name for every possible extension or they could just sit and wait till one of their tm developed by someone else and sue their ass off
