I geotarget my ads on my site. I use Yahoo for my USA traffic and make good money. I get over $1-$2 for every click. Here's an example: ~40 clicks earns me ~$90 I use Google for my International traffic and I am making pennies. Here's an example: ~70 clicks earns me ~$11 Note that this is on the same site, in the same placement locations, just with different types of traffic (USA vs International). A simple geotargeting script just changes the ads for me. I know Yahoo doesn't allow international, but is there ANYONE who pays higher than Google for international traffic? Even if it's better than $0.20 per click I'll be a lot happier. I generally get 7000 unique visitor per day with about 300 of them clicking on an ad. Most of them are returning users. If I could get Yahoo type payouts for ALL of my clicks I'd be making $300/day. Probably just a pipe dream... Ideas?
I don't think there are any. Right now Google is the largest international publisher company, and so all the advertisers will go to it. So until then, you'll just have to stick with Yahoo. However, you might want to try Adbrite. I've heard some good things about it.
to some {or many} publisher of USA ypn is performing better. but its not clearly ahead of adsense to all publishers.
I agree pay per lead companies pay way more that the adsense clicks. It requires targeting the right ads though.
I love AdSense. Also remember, that ads for the US are probably more expensive than international ads.
Adbrite isn't bad...plus you can do interstitials and you get people paying you for a time period rather than by click...and you get to set the price. I find that sometimes, this enables people to place ads on your site where the might fail with Adwords (which equates to Adsense on your site)
thats a bad example to use. I think a lot of people would claim Yahoo pays more but not a great deal more thanGoogle. However, the example above uses US amnd international traffic. Obviously us traffic pays significantly more.
You already have good numbers. You didn't mention impressions but with 7000 uniques you must have quite a few - 30,000 or so? With 300 clicks you CTR might be lower than it could be. Work on boosting that.
I agree, unless you want to try commission junction not a PPC program but if you have good niche and traffic good alternative
The problem with YPN is that you do not get as relevant ads as you do with Adsense, so far the best affiliate.
Adsense is the best at targeting and getting clicks but YPN pays you more per click you just have to try each one if you have both. For instance I have 4 myspace sites that earn $10 - $15 per day with YPN but less than $5 per day with adsense. On the other hand I have two other myspace sites that only earned $0.25 - $0.70 per day with YPN but are earning $1.50 - $3 per day with adsense. It varies from site to site so try both if you can.
Why must people argue?? What is best is what makes you the most money at the least cost. For some Adsense works for others Yahoo works for others its CJ Azoogle MaxBounty etc Instead of arguing listen learn earn
