Anything alternative to Adsense?

We all know that Adsense is a targeted advertisements based on keywords in our webpages. Sometimes, however, Adsense simply shows a public advert. Yes, we can can configure "Alternate ad URL or colour" to substitute the public advert.
In order to maximise the potential of impressions, are there any other PPC offerings that we use in place of adsense public adverts/alternate ads?

    Have a look here TextAd

It's late Beta (full release mid Feb) and we're going to replace / supplement a lot of ADS by this.

    I use clicksor.com

They provide alternative ad URLs that you can put directly in your adsense code.

If you want to put me down as a referrer my id is 11111 :)

If you search the forums, you'll find many threads on this topic. Kanoodle also has a text ad program similar to AdSense. Just look around the forum and you'll find several other options.

Thanks guys for replying. However, maybe in my sleep-deprived mind, I may have made the title a wee bit misleading. What I am looking for is for other ads to appear in place of Adsense public ads. (I've changed the title).

    mopacfan, search, i will.

Use Adhearus, they pay better than clicksor, and are good for image-only campaigns. Also, you can choose not to display unsavory or 'PG" rated ads such as gambling, viagra, etc.

I've tried several options....lead generation, affiliates.....but they never seem to convert as well as adsense......which pisses me off!

Ive had a bad experience with adhearus.. they canceled my account for no reason, and didn't give me a reason. And I could understand this if there was some click fraud, but I only had like 2 or 3 clicks (I only had it up for a few hours).

For alternates to adsense, I use clicksor, bidclix, and bidvertiser.

Um, I can't really say really, I like bidclix's way of handeling things better, bidvertisers ads where not in the catagory they where supposed to be, and where low quality ads.

On the other hand, Bidclixs ads weren't sleezy or anything, but they aren't very interesting. And, instead of the classic adsense look, they have a unique look that is almost like graphical banners. (see an example in the footer of http://www.thevirtualbrowser.com/index.php?url=uggc/jjj.tbbtyr.pbz&flags=101101 )

They both have their pros and cons, but right now I like bidclix.

I never liked clicksor. The user who clicks on the ad has to enter a code to get to the site before you get anything :| stupid idea. There's better ways to prevent click fraud.
