Anyone with HostGator Affiliate program?

I just joined them through CJ and their website to try which one works better.

I gave away 2 hosting account each through CJ and Hostgator affiliate program site. Here is what happened.

In their affiliate site - I got $50
In CJ - I got nothing, but they offered $100 for each signup.

Now why they offering $50 in their website and $100 in CJ for each signup?

I also contacted their affiliate manager through CJ about my commission, he said they will pay $100 for each signup and will pay after 60days. After 60days to see if there is any cancellation or fraud involved.

So the commission will be updated after 60days??
What will happen if my customer decides to cancel the hosting after a month?

Anyone promoting their program please help...is this rule used in their affiliate website too where I have $50 commission?

    Thanks a lot!

Hosting offers are a big gamble. Most of the ones I have marketed convert great but get revoked because of cancellations and such. I believe with most hosting affiliates the customer needs keep their account for up to a month or more. I am not sure with Host Gator, but you should contact the manager and ask them how long the customer has to stay with them in order for the lead to be counted as a legitimate lead.

You better re-read hostgators T.O.S for affiliates. You can not have accounts at both places (CJ and HostGator). I have been using HostGator's affiliate program for about a month and have done really well so far. If you look at their tier on their affiliate page:
    1-5 a month $50
    6-10 a month $75
    11-20 a month $100
    21+ a month $125
Is why you only got $50.00
Commission is payed on net 60 yes, because of them not paying for a hosting account that is closed in less then 2 months. Hope this helps you.

I have never been able to get people to stay on with Hostgator. People join for a month and than leave. I have taken them off my pages and now use bluehost.

Why don't you try Midphase, they have a flat payout of $80 per signup and until now they seem to be very promising.
