    Hi,
I'm currently building a new website that will have tons of content when released. I'll have 2000-2500 categories and plan to get some links from wikis.

My website is about technology & consumer technology. Anyone has a wiki list on that niche?

If yes, could you share them with me?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Are planning to SPAM them with links back to your site? DP has a forum for directory suoliciations..you can submit your link to one of the many directories listed.

You can get some decent traffic from wikis, but as for link - they don't count anymore.

wiki is using a no follow attribute but still it gave a lot of traffic...but your so lucky if you link will be there long enough to gather a lot of followers...as there are people who will definitely edit that out...

I know that wikis has no-follow tags, but wikis has traffic.

My links always lasts on wikipedia... why not on other wikis?

Unsolicited links are spam. Linking to your own websited from most wikis is not solicited.

It is really frustrating how the wiki admins decide what is ok and what's not ok on wikipedia.

Yesterday I had my links removed from it. Ok it's true that they were to my blog (book reviews) but one of someone others link stayed, and I don't know why.

Bummer I lost some traffic, oh well from 20 UU -> 5 :/

The person that removed your link is probably a competitor. You can also remove any links that you feel should not be there.

To saty in a category, you simply have to register and write a couple articles on wikipedia.

Then, add your links in the wikipedia categories.

When done, check back in the categories daily to see if your links are still there. If not, check who deleted them. If the user is an online user, ask him why he removed your link. If he wasnt registered, add your link again.

Most of the time, when you get your link removed on wikipedia, thats a competitor that want the monopole of the category ;)
