Anyone willing to share specific offers / niches that are successful?

I understand the secrecy involved with holding your cards in the affiliate game, but I figured I would ask. Is anyone willing to share a real world example of how they made money from an offer? What was the offer, how did you promote it, did you use landing pages or an existing site, what was your revenue, cost and return?

    It can't hurt to ask!

    Ringtones

    -promoted with landing page
    -ppc promotion
    -return was around 75-100%

    Dating

    -promote with landing page
    -ppc
-return of about 200-300%, really small volume though I don't do much with it

    Webfetti

    -promote with landing page
    -ppc search and contextual
-losing money right now trying to figure the niche out

Those are a few (not all) that I promote.

Nova, thanks for sharing. With the landing pages do you have a separate domain in which the landing page is the only page on the site? Did you design the landing page yourself?

Sounds like a great return on the ringtones, I thought the market was too saturated to make that kind of ROI.

I am not quite sure whether or not I should be getting a domain for every offer I decide to try. For that reason what i am doing is to buy a good domain with a general name (short name), for example: www.searchoffer.com and then creating a sub-domain for each of my offer. Ex:

    Main domain: http://www.searchoffer.com
    Sub-domain ringtone: http://ringtones.searchoffer.com
    dating: http://dating.searchoffer.com

Doing that for sure you will save money, time and would be easier to administrate your landing pages under one single account and folder. However I am not quite sure if by having this kind of approach it can damage your conversions.

At this point I don't think it would. Any thoughts? inputs on this matter>?

    Cheers

Yeah, I have multiple-page landing pages all for a single offer. My ringtone page I actually designed myself, but I have my designer do everything for me.

Get a separate domain for each offer.

I would not recommend that at all. Your display url (ie. your domain) is 1/4 of your ad's real estate in a 4 line ad, and super important to CTR and conversion. I buy at least one domain for each offer I promote. For important niches I have tested 5 different domains before finding one that converts well.

I would tend to agree, if you'll be spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on CPC advertising the least you can do is buy a few $8 domain names. You can easily run them all through a single hosting account...

Thanks for the tips guys. I am going to try out a campaign pretty soon. I have an idle domain name that I think would work well for an offer I am looking at.

when promoting ringtones do you add the word "FREE" as Negative keyword?

For dating are you getting most of your traffic from longtail keywords?
is your landing page for dating more like reviews on different dating sites or just for one offer .

    thanks

i never go for dating or ringtones. When i started i tried ringtones, even with a great landing page and decent keywords. It hardly converted. I also dont like that niche. i hate all this jamba, blinko stuff.

I am also not into the financial offers, like debt etc. I also never promote offers below $10 payout.

So at least i said what i am NOT promoting. lol I just started a few months ago anyway, so dont listen to me :D

Mate crossing out all the ringtones, dating, financial and debt offers I wonder if there is anything left paying over $10 / lead :)

But yes I feel you about that "jamba, blinko stuff".

No. I just don't use keyword replacement.

    1) I don't know really I don't really pay attention to dating it's such a small campaign. I spend like $5 a day and make $30, I never really paid attention to it, it was just a campaign I uploaded ages ago.

    2) It's a landing page that each direct to different niche offers (asian, black, bbw, etc).

So it sounds like it is best to create a campaign for one specific offer within a niche (such as an asian dating offer) and then direct to a specific landing page only promoting that offer.

Anyone ever try a comparison offer? In other words, compare the best mortgage deals and have a landing page with multiple affiliate offers on it.
