its an urban music website. WP 3.0.1 - maybe a dozen plugins (some from Autommatic), but I feel like I can have more speed to the website as nothing is over the top dynamic. I'd appreciate suggestions on 'how' I can clean up the problems. I checked the size last time and it was at 12.03 KB (12,315 bytes). Wondering 'how' can I go about reducing this size to under 10 kb as much as I can. I learn quickly, I just need to be pointed in the right direction of (again) 'how' to take the rights step in cleaning the site up a bit. All suggestions are appreciated. push36 dot com
Nice and very professionally done! I don't know if you can fit 728X90 ad at the top but it would be nice to have it there instead of that small one.
thank and much appreciation to all!! I'm new to this (well kind of - having entirely my own website, with a .com) so I'm just trying to get in where I fit in. Thanks once again
Looks great. Nice job. With regards to the speed, you could try the WP-Super-Cache plugin. Also try stripping out all of the embedded css and javascript from the pages and move them to external files. That way, once a user has visited one page, they won't need to download the code again.
reducing its size is just one aspect of performance optimization, refer to Google's "Web Performance Best Practices" and Yahoo's "Best Practices for Speeding Up Your Web Site" they're just awesome guideline, they also provide tools to audit your site performance, page speed and yslow
For speed up your site, revise your unnecessary JS and active plugins. Compress JS, CSS and, if you want, HTML code by some online compress tool.
