The more targetted traffic coming to a website or forum, the better chances for larger publisher payments.
Why do you think the front sites help earnings for a forum? Is it because it redirects some of the traffic to the forum.
forums are profitable but requires lot of effort in the beginning ,and when you reach like 2000-3000 member then forum rocks, people keep cominng back again and again and we get clicks again and again ,i'm also planning to make a forum for now i guess its the money machine .
contest.co.nz: Looking at your site, you need to get into the right stuff and you have a huge potential there. (Think CPA stuff...) Oh and Hi from the South Island! p.s. You missed a 0 on that 20,000 earlier!
The static pages rank better in search engines and have 20 times better CTR/eCPM than impressions generated from forum threads... so basicly the 0.5% CTR coming from the forum pages is offset by this 20 times better CTR on the static pages.... giving you an overall CTR of somewhere in the 3% range.. across that particular domain. If you take away the static pages (front site), you're left with a miserable 0.5% (and often less) CTR, and likewise very low eCPM, and nothing to offest this poor performence with... hope that makes some sense.
I'm currently working on a forum and it makes me next to nothing right now but I'm still working on promotion, should be a good few thousand member forum one day, I bet it'll earn some then.
Exactly. That's what I'm doing with my photography forum. As I add more and more unique, static content, my CTR for the whole site goes up. You mind sharing your 3 big-boards sites, spdude? I'd love to take a look (I'm about 180k posts away from being big-boardable.)
Yup, forums can be a HUGE success! I have 3 sites with forums and over 22k members. HOWEVER, my main revenue stream has been from paying advertisers, not adsense. They pay x amount per month to have their banner on the site. I just discovered adsenses less than a year ago and have been doing OK. Mid to upper $XXX a month with 1.5+ million ad impressions.
yea i guess you are correct, yea with 2500 clicks per/day just 200-300 dollar, just imagine if they were high, one of my friend is experiencing this
After I run a blog into the front sites of the forum, the $$ increased dramatically... Traffic >> Blog >> forum
Launching a forum that can create a constant and high Adsense revenue needs study and careful consideration. Not every successful webmasters even with several websites can create a forum with thousands of members and PPC income.
