Fed up updating all the menus manually I switched over to Joomla for my humour site www.randomrant.co.uk

Anyone like to voice an opinion? All gratefully received.

I think it might be a bit too busy. Hard to determine exactly what the site is all about.

Not really my kind of site but the point is that you want some form of income off this site, right.

I would say that ad placement is very important on a site like this because the site has a way of pulling your eyes from place to place. There is a fellow on the business services area of this forum that could help. He offers free G ad evaluation, you might want to look him up.

    Hope all goes well!

Hi Joe. It's funny, most people have said they thought the site was quite clean! I think the problem may be that it's not really "about" anything other than whatever I fancy writing about at the time, so I think by its very nature it's always going to be a bit confusing.

Hi Twas. Naturally I'm not going to turn down any extra income RR generates, but that was never really the point of doing it. Since switching to this new design, however, my click thru's have quadrupled. If only all my keywords weren't worth about 8 cents each I might stand a chance of making some money!

That said, the site has paid for itself ten times over now, allowing me to upgrade from phpBB to vBulletin and the like, so I'm not too concerned about what it's bringing in now. Cheers for the suggestion though!
