Anyone here actively using Wordtracker? If so, I'd be curious as to what you think about it.

I use it every once in a while for a day or two. Shawn's tool provides most of the information I need, but WordTracker does have some benefits.

Sign up for a free trial to see what it's like. It's the only tool of it's kind that I know of.

I use it but find it can be overwhelming...almost too much information to digest. Lately I've been relying more on a combination of the DP keyword tool and Google Suggest than on Wordtracker.

If you pay for wordtracker..you may be getting good results.

IMHO the trial is almost useless. Why? it's only for msn (who use it anyway?) and because of that it is highly inaccurate and unreliable.

So when it says that the keyword is good because the demand is high and the pages with that keyword is low, you better check at google and yahoo too. I am very surprised to see that it varies a lot at google and yahoo. A keyword that has only say 50,000 pages at msn will have 10 million pages in google for example (the difference is always very big). So, if you are using the trial-wordtracker, be prepared to be misled.

I used shawn's tool and nichebot (http://www.nichebot.com) because it is more accurate since it shows you how many pages in Google you are competing against on that keyword.

    Good luck! :)

I use it. But for 'quick inspiration' I stick to normal Overture suggestions because I normally only require confirmation of my expectations of a word.

But when it comes to adding a new range or section I normally do a thorough WordTracker run.

    It's too long-winded for quick look-ups.

WordTracker is useful - but don;t place too much reliance on the figures it provides. Think "illustrative purposes only".

Also, try and understand the motivation behind searchers for specific keywords - competitive keywords may involve a lot of people simply checking up their keyword rankings, rather than general user traffic.

I use it as a compass for which way to look but not run.
