What is best - stumble my main page or a deeper content page?

Should I stumble my own site or let others stumble it?

Will stumbleupon be able to detect this stumble-ring that is going on and penalise us?

Its better if your inner pages get stumbled, something which has an interesting topic and could be of interest to a lot of people. Your main page might be focusing on a lot of different topics, but an inner page will be focusing on something specific.

I think its equally alright if you stumble your own pages and also let others to stumble it.

About your last question, IMO, SU will not penalize this stmble-ring as people only stumble sites which they like. Take an example of this thread. Lots of people have asked others to stumble their sites, but people dont stubmle sites blindly. They only stumble those they find interesting.

Thanks for clearing those questions up for me.

In which case if anyone is interested in stock market investing I would appreciate some stumbles for my article on stock research and for my share trading simulation that can be found in my sig.

I'll get stumbling on some of the sites mentioned in this thread......if I like them of course :D

Luckily for the rest of us, a lot of people do. ;)

You should stumble your site or pages you want people to find yourself first. The first one has to add a review to get it indexed on SU. A lot of people won't write reviews, but only give it a thumbs up, so if they get the pop-up they leave. Just a heads up. :)

You may have to restart firefox if you haven't already to see it.. and make sure that you've got the stumbleupon toolbar checked under "View" and "Toolbars" in your Firefox menu
